It's February and Think Roses: Live Your Best Life with Rose Aromatherapy

I ADORE roses! I have had several rose gardens over my life and I planted my current one in my zone 3 garden so that tells you how much I LOVE roses. I'm okay with spending the time pampering them so I can savor their beauty and scent. I even harvested the rose petals last summer that I use on my full moon women's circle altars. Rose Essential Oil is one of the most sought-after essential oils you can buy, with a strong aroma and a long list of potential benefits. She is the queen of essential oils. Its status as one of the more expensive essential oils may come as a surprise but there are many reasons why the high price. From its complex production process to its impressive therapeutic qualities, I'll touch on what makes Rose Essential Oil so special and worth every dollar!

As the aroma of rose essential oil begins to fill your senses, imagine the room you are in completely full of roses. Visualize a garden with each rose blooming as the breeze spreads its beauty gently along, reaching your breath as you inhale. By focusing on scent, you can transform a stressful environment into one that allows you to meditate in peace and relaxation.

Rose essential oil has been considered a luxury for centuries, known for its healing essence and powerful blend of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and antiseptic properties. I use a Rose cleanser, Rose facial cream and make my own Rose water toner that calms my mind and helps with anti-aging.

What is the Difference Between Rose Absolute and Rose Otto Oil?

Rose Otto oil is distilled from the petals of the Damask Rose and it takes about thirty roses to make one drop of essential oil, making it one of the most expensive oils available. Steam distilled Rose Essential Oil is know as Rose Otto and solvent extracted rose oil is known as Rose Absolute. Both are beautiful, intoxicating oils, but there are some differences. Rose Otto is lighter in color and thinner in viscosity than Rose Absolute. Aromatically, Rose Otto can have a heartier, more intense aroma vs. Rose Absolute. Both in incredibly concentrated and just a little goes a long way!
